Wizards’ Westbrook upset after popcorn was doused on him while he left the floor with an ankle injury

Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook had to be restrained by security guards after a fan doused him with popcorn during his team’s 120-95 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

A fan attending Wednesday night’s NBA playoff game in Philadelphia threw popcorn at Westbrook as he walked off the court after injuring his right ankle, an injury that infuriated Westbrook and his teammates.

The Philadelphia 76ers lead their opening-round playoff series 2-0.

Westbrook had to be held back by multiple Wizards assistants and security guards as he walked down the tunnel with his leg bandaged after he had rolled his right ankle 10 minutes before the end of the game.
