With one Super Bowl and many NFL records, Drew Brees should have made the cut with the other great players on the list.

The NFL was celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2019. To add to the occasion, they created a list of the all-time top players in the league. One category that caused a stir was quarterback, as New England’s Tom Brady was the only current one to make the list. However, fans of the New Orleans Saints were outraged because their NFL record-setting quarterback, Drew Brees, was not on the list. Should he have been included? Here are two different views on the subject.
With one Super Bowl and many NFL records, Drew Brees should have made the cut with the other great players on the list.
While Drew Brees holds many individual records, legacy-wise, he seems to have fallen short compared to the others on the list.
He has more than 25 NFL records, including passing touchdowns, yards and completions.
He has won a Super Bowl.
He played in a different era than some of the other quarterbacks on the list.
In his 13 years with the Saints, he only made the playoffs seven times.
He has no NFL or Super Bowl MVP awards.
He does not have a “signature” moment on his resume.

Brees has had an impressive career, but when you look at all the QBs in the history of the NFL, he just falls short on this list, in my opinion.
Seems about right to leave him off the list compared to the other qbs on the list.
