Rockets’ star James Harden is focusing on trade with Nets

Having turned down the chance to become the first $50 million player in NBA history, Houston Rockets All-NBA guard James Harden has made it clear to ESPN that he is concentrating on a trade to the Brooklyn Nets, sources report.

Harden has turned his attention to forcing the Houston Rockets to trade him to join a “Super” team as he looks to compete for title with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.  With three NBA championships and a couple MVP awards between them, this trio would shake up the basketball world.

Harden could become a free agent in 2022 if he plays in the final year of his contract, with sources saying, Brooklyn would have two years to win a title before deciding their next move concerning Harden.

Last year Harden led the NBA in scoring for the third straight year with 34.3 ppg.  Durant also has led the NBA in scoring for three consecutive years,  2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012, as well as in 2013-2014.
