The Philadelphia 76ers, led by Joel Embiid, scored a decisive 127-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference finals.
In the game, Embiid scored 27 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, and now has 79 points in the first couple of games of the series. Tobias Harris chipped in 22 points, and Ben Simmons scored 18.
On defense, Simmons and Matisse Thybulle stopped Hawks’ Trae Young from taking control as he did in Game 1. Still, Young managed to break through and score 28 points, but the Sixers on defense were able to swarm Young and prevent the Hawks from gaining momentum.
The two teams will meet again on Monday for Game 4.
