The Cleveland Division of Police announced Friday that New Orleans Saints Marshon Lattimore was detained during a traffic stop.
Lattimore was taken to Cuyahoga County Jail after being arrested by Cleveland Police gang detectives, reports Cleveland.com. He is being held for theft.
Two other passengers were arrested for carrying guns while on board, and a car driver, suspected of inappropriate use of a firearm, was detained.
Lattimore received three Pro Bowl nominations for the 2017, 2019, and 2020 seasons. He made his name in the NFL with immediate success, and went on to be named Defensive Rookie of the 2017 season after being selected No. 11 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
The 24-year old is one of the cornerstones of the NFL entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Saints.
He has no criminal history, but the other three men are all convicted of at least one felony.
