NBA fans reacted to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski after he spoiled the news about draft picks hours before they were announced on television.
Wojnarowski is one of the most well-known NBA insiders. He regularly shares breaking NBA news via Twitter, including draft picks and trades before they are officially announced.
However, some fans had to resort to muting him on NBA draft night to avoid being spoiled.
Usually, “Woj” started tweeting a few minutes before the picks. On Thursday, however, they came six hours before the start of the 2021 NBA draft.
For example, he wrote: “With Cade Cunningham a solid No. 1 to Detroit now, Houston and Cleveland continue to trend toward Jalen Green and Evan Mobley with the second and third picks, respectively, sources tell ESPN.”
Several fans who decided that it was too much of a hassle to mute him reacted strongly to his tweets.
For example, a user that goes by the username “Lamar Jackson’s Ravens and Heat Burner” replied to a tweet, saying: “Stop ruining it Woj.”
Another wrote: “[Expletive] I dare u to spoil one more time.”
