Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady is possibly on the verge of clinching his fourth NFL MVP award and breaking his own record as the oldest player to win the award in the process.

The defending Super Bowl champion was last named MVP back in 2017 when he was still playing for the New England Patriots.

In his latest game against the Atlanta Falcons, Brady completed 38 of 51 passes for 368 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception to lead the Buccaneers to a dominant 30-17 victory.

Brady needs just 18 more completions to become the NFL’s all-time leader. He’s currently at 7,125, while former New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees holds the record at 7,142.

“I predicted before the year started that the 44-year-old was going to win the MVP,” Fox Sports’ Skip Bayless said Monday morning on ‘Undisputed.’ “It is shocking that he now has 34 TD passes. He’s got a shot at 50. He has to average three a game to get there. Can he do that? Yes, he could. Right here, right now, Tom Brady is leading the league at 314 pass yards per game. That’s pretty extraordinary.”

Bayless’ co-host Shannon Sharpe was more on the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers’ camp for the MVP, calling Brady “overrated.”

“I think Aaron Rodgers’ numbers and record-wise has been more impressive,” Sharpe said. “Brady has thrown two pick-sixes this year, while Rodgers has three in 18 years.”

Speaking of numbers, PFF revealed how dominant Tom Brady has been so far this season.

“Tom Brady: 10 games with 4+ passing TDs since joining the Bucs … 1st among all QBs,” PFF tweeted.

The NFL announced last season’s MVP in February so only time will tell if Brady will clinch his fourth MVP title.
