The Tennessee Titans made a blockbuster trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on the first day of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Tennessee sent wide receiver A.J. Brown to Philly for two overall picks, No. 18 and No. 101 in the third round.

“It was a priority to get the right players,” the Eagles said. “And this, for us, was the right player, was the right fit. I can’t tell you that we were definitely going to draft a wide receiver in the first round. We had some other players we were looking at here, but I think we felt like this particular player, this particular person, the fit was really good for what we had and what we were looking for.”

The 24-year-old receiver spent three seasons with the Titans who picked him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The franchise then signed him to a four-year contract worth $5,641,199, an additional $2,122,690 for a signing bonus.

Soon enough he debuted in Tennessee in a season-opener game against the Cleveland Browns.

The 2020 Pro-Bowler played a total of 43 games and racked up 185 receptions for 2,995 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Reportedly, Brown was offered a four-year deal worth $100 million and $57 million guaranteed, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Additionally, according to Dave Zangaro of NBC, his total $25 million APY propelled his name as the fourth-highest paid WR in the NFL.

"Really excited just to have him on this team. He plays with great play strength. This is a strong man. He's quick for a big guy and he just catches everything. Those are things that really stick out from his tape. And there's no projection there. You've seen it and you've seen it for three years now. It's just exciting to put on his tape and watch it,"
