There is no place like home, but even the worst of things can happen at home.
Minnesota Timberwolves’ star center Karl-Anthony Towns might have learned that the hard way.
The 2022 NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest champion was sure of turning the table against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. Confident with the Timberwolves’ 26-point lead in the second and 25 point lead in the third, Towns was determined to show the guests the exit door.
The Timberwolves were still leading with 17 points in the second quarter when Towns was caught bragging about his at-home pride.
“Yeah, we in Minnesota now,” Towns said to his teammates. “Like I said after (Game 2) to the media, (all right) cool, we got to come back to our house now. I only seen them at their house.”
As it happened, it did not end the way Towns had envisioned. The seventh-seeded Timberwolves collapsed in the final quarter and were outscored by the Grizzlies’ by 25 points. In an instant, Memphis beat them by nine points and a final score of 104-95.
However, the three-time NBA All-Star handled the outcome with the professionalism that comes with a seasoned sportsman. Although he skipped questions regarding his four shots, he calmly outlined his next moves.
“Go home, drink some wine and move on to the next day. I mean that’s really simple. Just decompress,” said Towns. “Just go home and remember what got us here. Remember what got me here. … It’s our support system, our work and each other, and we just got to lean on that.”
KAT had eight points on four shots, five rebounds, and had five fouls. However, he also made five blocks that saved the game from being a shattering loss.
The No. 2 seeded Grizzlies are currently ahead in the series 2-1, with Game 4 scheduled for 9 p.m. this Saturday.

Ja may very well be a first team All-NBA twitter user. He hinted at this video during the press conference and wasted no time rubbing it in.
Why is this post ok but when I post a direct link to the tweet it’s instantly removed?
KATs voice just does not match his body lol
How massive?
