Stephen Curry and the Golden States Warriors are enjoying their season so far, especially after their 105-90 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday gave them a league-leading 18-2 record.
However, it was not all sunshine in the Bay Area during the early stages of the pandemic for the Warriors.
“Watching the bubble was the lowest point of those two years,” Curry told Yahoo Sports. “There was a part of me that felt it was nice to get refreshed, and a part of me really missed playing on that stage. That was the first time in seven years of not being in the playoffs. We know each player had their own experiences in the bubble, but I would have loved to have been there competing. I would say that was the lowest point in terms of my basketball experience because I felt so far away from it. This is what I love to do.”
The three-time NBA champion also reflected on how the Warriors are bouncing back this season.
“We all know how the industry works and how the business works,” Curry said following his 33-point performance versus the Clippers. “You have to win to get the attention. For me, it’s about motivation. We just want to win and we understand what comes with it and we want to be in that situation more than anything else because we’ve experienced that and we know how much fun it is.”

I understood people underrating KD due to the Achilles but people underrating Steph made no sense to me during this time as it wasn’t that serious of an injury so he would come back and dominate the same
Steph heard all the shit talk and just said fuck y’all I’m back
Can you imagine bubble Curry? Lol 10 3s per game.
Don't worry Steph, the bubble didn't count.
I would think getting knocked out of the play in would be the lowest point. either way, Steph is playing like an angry bull with a jumpshot.
Steph Curry got mad in the Warriors' win over the Clippers. “You never know when it’s coming, with Steph, it can come out of the blue,” coach Steve Kerr said. “But generally, when he gets angry, he steps it up.”
Its draining to go to finals 5 times in a row and everyone expects you to win. Plus, every team was trying extra hard against the warriors. The injuries suck but it can be refreshing to have break where you see how it is not playing for the chip (or even playoffs), to prove to yourself you can carry a team to playoffs with your greatness and now on the 3rd year being back at the dominant stage as a team. They're just as hungry as when they went for that first chip. Klay will be even hungrier because he was forced to take a 2yr break from what he loved most. It sounds dumb, but yet again, it can be refreshing for their minds to have that hunget again. Dray described something similar when he said he found that love and hunger for the game again. Man i love this team so much.. I rly hope steph, dray and klay win another three It would also prove that those 2 kd chips were more like he participated to get 2 chips with us than he got us the 2 other chips.
yeah besides the teams that eeked into the bubble it was really hard watching feeling like a healthy Dubs could have beaten ANY of those squads im not on the “mickey mouse title” bandwagon however none of those teams including the lakers that year looked particularly good
Opponents: You don't want to make Steph angry. You won't like it when he's angry, as @scottostler gets into:
Stephen Curry got mad Sunday, his Golden State teammates got mad with him, and the Shakespearean Warriors notched another emotional win, writes @scottostler
