Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson expressed his gratitude to referee Land Clark for his call against Indianapolis Colts linebacker Daniel Leonard in the third quarter of Monday night’s game, which Baltimore won 31-25.

“Mr. Clark, I appreciate that call,” Jackson said via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “I remember his name. That was a pretty dope call and it was fair, too. He did hit me in the face. It wasn’t like it was no BS call or nothing like that. It was dope to get one.”

The last time Jackson received a roughing the passer call was in Week 16 of the 2019 season against the Browns’ Sheldon Richardson.

“That’s crazy,” Jackson said and shaking his head when told about this information. “But like I said, it was fair. I’m glad I got the call.”

Last week, Jackson retweeted some fans on Twitter who shared their concerns that he wasn’t getting flags for late hits against him.

“I just feel we should be protecting all quarterbacks in the league, not just myself,” Jackson said.

Baltimore will host the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday.
