Following Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ positive COVID-19 results, the NFL has finished their investigation and fined the Packers $300,000 on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.

The league is also said to be fining Rodgers and wide receiver Allen Lazard $14,560 each.

Packers president Mark Murphy released a statement addressing this decision to ESPN.

“We respect the League’s findings and we recognize the importance of adherence to the COVID protocols to keep our team and organization safe and healthy,” said Murphy. “We will continue to educate the team regarding the importance of the protocols and remain committed to operating within the protocols.”

in addition to Rodgers having participated in press conferences while not wearing a mask, the NFL found that the Packers violated several COVID-19 protocols, including allowing Rodgers and Lazard to attend a Halloween party, per Mark Maske of The Washington Post.

The Packers were also informed that any future violations of protocols could result in a possible change of draft position or the loss of draft picks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said Rodgers will play if available.
