On Monday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver designated Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray as injury substitutes for the 20th NBA All-Star Game, which will be held on February 20 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. It is each player’s first All-Star selection.

Ball replaces Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, who has been out with a damaged MCL in his left knee since January 15.

Murray takes the place of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who is struggling with a lower back ailment and hasn’t played significant playing time since Jan. 5.

Durant and LeBron James will serve as captains for the game and will select their lineups in the All-Star Draft on Thursday. Even though he is unable to play, Durant will still choose his team.

The NBA also announced that Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum will replace Durant in the draft starting pool.

“When a starter is injured prior to the NBA All-Star Draft and is unable to participate in the All-Star Game, he is replaced in the starter pool for the Draft by the All-Star reserve from the same conference and of the same position group who received the highest ranking in the voting for All-Starters,” the league said in a statement.
