Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James is turning 37 in two months, yet he still proves that age is just a number.

Speaking to reporters after Lakers’ practice sessions, the four-time NBA champion revealed his goal is to earn his fifth ring this season.

“Just motivated enough to have the opportunity to win a championship,” James said. “That’s why I play the game. “It’s one of the greatest, but shortest feelings that you have. You win a championship, and everything you put into that year just hits you all at once.”

Last season, James only played 45 games and missed 26 games due to an ankle injury.

“I don’t play the game thinking about injuries,” James said Monday. “And I also feel worse when I play low minutes.

“It took a while [for my ankle to heal after last season],” he continued. “I didn’t do much basketball stuff for probably the first two months of the summer, which is very rare for me, because my ankle wasn’t responding how I would like it to respond. [I was training] until I got to a point where I didn’t feel any sharp pains anymore, and my flexibility was back to where it was before. That’s when I knew I could get back on the floor.”
