Former Los Angeles Lakers fan Kyle Rittenhouse has denounced his fandom status and is planning to sue the franchise’s All-Star forward LeBron James over a tweet.

LeBron made a tweet on November 2021, telling Rittenhouse to “knock it off” with his fake crying on court. The 37-year-old further added that the Wisconsin resident “ate some lemon heads” prior to walking inside the courtroom.

“What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court,” James’ tweet reads.

Rittenhouse spoke to BlazeTV in December 2021 that he was a Lakers fan until James made his tweet.

“I liked LeBron,’ Rittenhouse said. “And, then I’m like, ‘You know what, f–k you, LeBron.’ I was a Lakers’ fan too before he said that.”

Rittenhouse made the news when he was armed with a semi-automatic rifle fatally shot two men and wounded another during the anti-police protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin back in August 2020.

The 19-year-old was later arrested after the unrest shooting and later he was found not guilty when judge Bruce Schroeder dismissed Rittenhouse of his five charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, which carries a sentence of life in prison.

As of right now, Rittenhouse has added King James to his own list of legal targets. Speaking to journalist and host Drew Hernandez in Frontlines, Rittenhouse said LeBron will be getting a letter and “deal in a courtroom.”

“What are your plans for LeBron James?” Hernandez asked.

“He’ll be getting a letter, too,” Rittenhouse answered. “Anybody who defamed me, or lied about me, we’re just gonna send them a letter and then deal with them in a courtroom.”

The Lakers star is yet to add any comments on the potential lawsuit.
