Brooklyn Nets shooting guard James Harden has opened up on his decision to leave the Houston Rockets. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the 2018 NBA MVP revealed his motive for moving to the Big Apple.
“I want to build my business side and my brand side more than it already is,” Harden said. “That was one of the reasons I wanted to come to New York and Brooklyn.”
Harden also praised his fellow All-Star teammates, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and wanted to contribute to the team as much as possible.
“My main focus is trying to get everybody involved and have each guy make an impact on the game,” said the 31-year-old.
Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets earlier this year. He achieved a triple-double in his debut, scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists versus the Orlando Magic.

Let's say hypothetically for the sake of argument that we're at full strength
there’s a nursing home in LA that would like a word
Not if Collin sexton has something to say about it
He's not wrong but also if my grandma had wheels she would be a bike.
We know that, but when are you ever at full strength and can we trust you to be at full strength in the postseason?
That's why we invested in Grayson Allen.
If those guys could stay full strength none of them would likely be on the Nets in the first place
Harden destroys the rest of the NBA with facts and logic
The last time Harden was this arrogant and boisterous he tried to conquer all of mainland Europe. Keep an eye on him.
Yeah I know
