The Los Angeles Lakers could not prevent a loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, even with LeBron James’ triple-double. In the end, the Rockets scored a 139-130 win in OT.
Houston rookie Jalen Green was the key to the Rockets’ victory, as he scored a career-high 32 points.
Russell Westbrook, who put down 30 points for the Lakers, shared his thoughts on what happened during the game.
“We kind of messed around with the game and they had confidence throughout the night,” said Westbrook “We gave up 32-, 36-point quarters in the first and second quarters, which is a lot of points. Guys made some shots. So now when it is guys shooting who aren’t normally making 3s or whatever it may be, they’ll make ’em.”
Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony had a brief answer for the reason why they lost.
“They caught fire in that overtime,” Melo said. “Everybody.”
Along with his strong shooting night, Green said that him guarding Anthony effectively made the game go Houston’s way.
“Our game plan was just to attack Melo and find the mismatch on the floor,” Green explained. “So when it came down to it, we were looking for Melo and I was attacking him every time.”
Meanwhile, LeBron did not want to dwell in the past after the loss and reaffirmed his commitment to play his best for the remaining games as long as he is healthy.
“I probably would be in uniform no matter what,” James said. “No matter if we were nine games under .500 or nine games above .500. It’s just all dependent on how the knee feels. So my love for the game and the way I play the game and me suiting up has nothing to do with records and things of that nature. That’s just not me.”

The truth about rock bottom is that it’s actually a continuous plummet. Things can and probably will get worse.
Oh I thought we were trying a new nickname for Westbrook. Instead of westbrick it was Westworst
