The Brooklyn Nets’ James Harden, Paul Millsap, and Jevon Carter were released from the NBA’s health and safety protocol Thursday, Nets head coach Steve Nash told ESPN.

However, the return of Harden, Millsap, and Carter was offset by the addition of rookies Cameron Thomas, Kessler Edwards, and David Duke to the protocols.

The Nets have had three games against the Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, and Portland Trail Blazers postponed this week due to a lack of players.

Ten Brooklyn players went into the protocols from December 14 to 18, including Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre’ Bembry, Bruce Brown, James Johnson, and Day’Ron Sharpe.

Harden has missed a total of four games this December following his COVID-19 positive test result. However, Nets superstar Kevin Durant managed to carry Brooklyn during his abscence.

The released players are expected to return to action on Christmas Day against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in Hollywood.

“We are not expecting anyone else to come out of protocols (in time for the Christmas Day game), but it is possible,” Nash said Thursday morning.
