The Houston Astros are not out of the 2021 World Series just yet.

Astros shortstop Carlos Correa spoiled the Braves’ night with an RBI single in the eighth inning of Game 5, which ended in a 9-5 win for Houston.

Braves fans were already celebrating when outfielder Adam Duvall hit a grand slam in the first inning.

“We celebrated it. We got excited, and that’s what you do when you hit home runs,” Duvall said. “But it’s a long game. That happened in the bottom of the first. It’s a nine-inning game, and they didn’t quit. They kept fighting. We weren’t able to get it going again and keep the pressure on, and that’s hats off to their pitchers. They kept us there when they needed to.”

Astros manager Dusty Baker recognized the steep cliff his team had to climb when they came to Atlanta with a 3-1 deficit.

“I’m just glad we get to go back to Houston,” Baker said. “That was our goal today.”

Game 6 of the best-of-seven series is set for Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
