The Los Angeles Dodgers rallied in the eighth inning to beat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 on Wednesday night and secured their third consecutive victory.

Dodgers’ left fielder AJ Pollock was confident throughout the game.

“We knew that if we took care of business,” said Pollock. “We’d be on top.”

Pollock also did not forget to praise his teammate Justin Turner.

“I wanted to get something through the infield and watch JT fly around the bases like he always does,” Pollock said. “It worked out.”

The Dodgers experienced a minor setback after pitcher Mark Scherzer felt discomfort in his right hamstring around the fifth inning. Yet, the 37-year-old was confident he would be back in no time.

“I came out because I had a tight hamstring… I’ve had this happen in the past and I’ve always been able to make my next start,” Scherzer told Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA.

Even his teammate had no idea he was holding back pain during the game.

“He’s a bulldog out there,” Pollock said of Scherzer. “We’re instructed don’t look at him, don’t touch him until he’s done.”

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was pleased with how his team has performed so far.

“It’s a start,” Roberts said. “We’re getting there. I think we’ve just got to continue to play good baseball.”

The Dodgers will play a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park this weekend, with both tied for the first position in the NL West.
