DraftKings has reported that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (-7.5) is now the betting favorite to win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award over Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady following his dismal performance against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night where he threw 48 passes for 214 yards and an interception in the game.
Brady and Kyler Murray were the only players who had odds shorter than +1000 to win the award nearly two weeks ago. However, Murray’s Arizona Cardinals’ defeat to the Detroit Lions (+5.5) on Sunday toppled him from the race.
The strongest candidates for the award are currently Rodgers with +125 odds and a 44 percent implied probability and Brady with +175 odds and a 36 percent implied probability. Clustering behind them are Matthew Stafford, Jonathan Taylor, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Cooper Kupp, Dak Prescott and Murray.
Murray’s +750 odds earlier this month had earned him nearly five times the chance to win the award compared to his current +4000 odds. On the other hand, Rodgers climbed from having +600 odds to only +125, earning him four times the chance to win the award.

Moral of the story: try to get shut out by the saints in week 1, not week 15
I would love to see Jonathan Taylor win it. Just make up another awards for qbs
Lol r/nfl had the MVP race chalked last week.
Johnathan Taylor you cowards!
Obviously I’m biased but I think Rodgers has the best case. He’s got 33 total touchdowns to 4 total turnovers and the team is 11-2 in the games he’s played. His efficiency has been fantastic and with all the injuries we’ve faced, we’re in line for the one seed. He def hurt his case a lot with being an anti vax douche but he’s playing some of the best football of his career
Had Brady ever been shutout before last night?
JT has 1,800+ total yards and 19 TDs with 3 games left. If he finishes with 2,000+ total yards and 20+ TDs, he should absolutely win the MVP.
Jonathon Taylor baby
These week to week overreactions are funny.
But r/nfl assured me that it was basically impossible for Brady to lose his lead…?
