Clippers dominate Mavericks in Game 4 to even Western Conference series

The Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night, May 30, 2021, and won Game 4, 106-81, to tie the Western Conference series 2-2.

The Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard had 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Paul George scored 20 points in the game.

The Clippers had a 61-35 lead before the break, in part because of an 8-0 run early in the second quarter to push the lead beyond 20 points.

The Clippers took what they learned from their 127-121 loss in Game 2 and attacked relentlessly.

“We knew our mistakes,” said Clippers’ forward Nicolas Baum, whose substitution for center Ivica Zubac was the first significant adjustment of Game 4. “We’re helping each other. We’re trusting each other a little bit more. We played pretty good defense the last two games.”

The Clippers earlier series win started with them falling behind by 19 points in the first quarter of Game 3, but rallying to beat Dallas 118-108.

The Clippers are heading home for Game 5 on Wednesday night, June 2, 2021.
