TAMPA ― Tristan Wirfs had an unbelievable rookie season, allowing only one sack while protecting Tom Brady and helping the Bucs win Super Bowl 55.
He was among the many Pro Bowl snubs for the Bucs. But Wirfs doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve.
Actually, he wears a new tattoo sleeve on his right arm depicting the Lombardi Trophy rising from the Tampa skyline.
Wirfs joins several Bucs teammates and coaches ― Mike Evans, Antoine Winfield Jr. and head coach Bruce Arians, among them ― to get a tattoo to commemorate the Super Bowl 55 win.
“I got mine probably three or four weeks ago, probably a month ago,” Wirfs said of his mark of excellence. “I was just looking at kind what everybody got. You know, I didn’t want to get the same thing but kind of had my own little idea.
“I think it turned out great. I like it.”
