Titans regroup, get ready for Raiders

In the immortal words of Jim Morrison, there is “no time to wallow in the mire” for the Tennessee Titans coming off a Monday night mashing in Buffalo.

The 0-2 Titans have a new matter to occupy them this week as the Las Vegas Raiders come to Nissan Stadium. The Raiders also have an 0-2 mark to start the year, with the loser of Sunday’s game off to a crippling start in terms of trying to make the playoffs.

The Titans know they have plenty of things in every facet of the game that have to be fixed in order to right themselves this week against Las Vegas.

Tennessee’s offense produced just seven points, and the running game with Derrick Henry never got out of first gear against the Bills. Henry had 25 yards on13 carries with four tackles for loss as part of that.

The defense was shredded by Josh Allen for 317 yards and four touchdown passes, as a lack of a pass rush allowed Allen to pick on the Titans’ young cornerbacks throughout the night.

And lest we forget special teams, there were two muffed punts, which becomes a major concern.

Coach MIke Vrabel said Wednesday that it is back to working hard and trying to fix the many miscues that have put the Titans in a precarious situation.
