Titans Make a Flurry of Roster Moves on Active Roster, Practice Squad

NASHVILLE – The Titans made a flurry of roster moves on Tuesday, on the 53-man roster and practice squad.

Signed to the active roster:

-Defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu.

Okuayinonu, who played at Maryland, was promoted from the team’s practice squad.

Okuayinonu was initially signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent back in May, and he went through the offseason and training camp with the team. In three seasons at Maryland (2019-21), Okuayinon appeared in 28 games with 17 starts and he totaled 103 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

Waived from the active roster:

-Outside linebacker Wyatt Ray.

Signed to the practice squad:

-Defensive back Shyheim Carter, an Alabama product who spent the offseason with the team before being waived.

-Running back Julius Chestnut, who was waived from the 53-man roster over the weekend.

Released from the practice squad:

-Offensive lineman Christian DiLauro.

The Titans return to action on Sunday at the Washington Commanders.
