Titans-Bills to be part of Week 2 Monday night doubleheader

The Tennessee Titans will play at the Buffalo Bills in week two of the NFL season as part of a nationally televised Monday night doubleheader on Sept. 18, the NFL announced Monday morning.

The league announced on NFL.com that the Titans and BIlls would be playing on ESPN at 6:15 p.m. CT, in the first game of the twinbill.

The second game of the night features the Minnesota Vikings traveling to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a contest that begins at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

Tennessee and Buffalo, both division winners the past two seasons, are quite familiar with each other, having played at NIssan Stadium the previous two seasons with the Titans winning both those game. However, this year’s contest is in Buffalo and will feature a pair of former Titans offensive linemen who were released in the off-season and signed with the BIlls. Former Tennessee starters Rodger Saffold and David Quessenberry both signed as free agents with Buffalo after being let go by the Titans earlier this off-season.

The full NFL schedule is set to be released Thursday evening by the league.
