SAN ANTONIO – Spurs Sports & Entertainment announced Thursday it has hired a former Turner Sports and Bleacher Report executive to lead and broaden its content and distribution efforts.
Morgan Dewan is SS&E’s first vice president of content and distribution, the organization announced in a press release. The Austin resident will lead efforts to deepen “fan interest and loyalty across SS&E’s franchise and facilities by creating compelling content and maximizing reach via traditional and emerging media platforms,” according to SS&E.
Dewan played Division I field hockey for Duke before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in public policy. She will start at SS&E on June 14 and report to Becky Kimbro, vice president of brand engagement.
“We are thrilled to welcome Morgan to the SS&E family,” Kimbro said. “With her combination of content production, audience engagement and broadcast experience, she is the perfect fit for our organization as we continue to cultivate and nurture relationships with our global fan base.”

Dewan joined Turner in 2013. She formed social media strategy across all Turner Sports properties, including NBA on TNT, Shaqtin’ A Fool, NBA.com, The PGA of America, MLB on TBS and NCAA Digital, including NCAA March Madness.
