Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week for Week 18 for his four touchdown pass performance in a 28-25 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Tannehill completed 23 of 32 passes and hit four different receivers for touchdowns in Sunday’s win that clinched the AFC’s top playoff seed for the Titans. With the win, Tennessee has home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and will have a first-round bye this weekend.
Tannehill completed touchdown passes to Anthony Firkser, A.J. Brown, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Julio Jones in the victory. Perhaps his best play of the game, though was a fourth-quarter throw to Westrbook-Ikhine where Tannehill spun out of a sack and was able to scramble and find his receiver for a 36-yard gain that led to a key touchdown drive that pushed the Titans’ lead to 28-18.
