WHY WATCH

Former Oilers head coach Dallas Eakins makes his return to Edmonton with the Anaheim Ducks. Eakins coached the Oilers for less than a season and-a-half, fired 31 games into his second year with the club in 2015. He’s in his third season with the Ducks, who missed the playoffs the past two years. The Oilers have had four coaches since Eakins was in Edmonton. Dave Tippet is in his third season with the club, hired at the start of the 2019-2020, to take over from Ken Hitchcock.
