SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Carson Golder showcased his versatility for the Edmonton Oil Kings at the 2022 Memorial Cup on Wednesday.

Golder started the game on left-wing on the top line for the Oil Kings and finished it on the blue line in a 4-3 overtime victory against the Saint John Sea Dogs at Harbour Station arena.
Jaxsen Wiebe scored the overtime winner, completed his first junior hockey hat-trick.
“The guys in the room call me a Swiss Army knife,” Golder said. “I’ll play wherever the team needs me. I think it was a situation thing, I got the call and I had to go back on defence.”

Golder helped spell off Edmonton’s top four defencemen, Kaiden Guhle, Luke Prokop, Simon Kubicek and Logan Dowhaniuk.
