Houston rap legend Scarface announced a 32-city run Tuesday that he’s calling “The Farewell Tour.” The tour begins in Oakland, Calif., on July 8 and wraps up with three stops in Texas – Aug. 18 in Dallas, Aug. 19 in Austin and Aug. 27 in Odessa. As of now, there’s no date on the tour listed for Scarface’s hometown of Houston.
Scarface had a “farewell” show at Houston’s House of Blues in November. Five months later, he did a set at Sugar Land’s Smart Financial Centre as an opener for Ice Cube in April.
Tickets for the summer tour, on which he will be backed by his band Formaldehyde Funkmen, go on sale Wednesday at Ticketmaster.
