Here is what’s happening on Day 10 of Cleveland Indians spring training

CLEVELAND, Ohio — With one day remaining before the start of Cactus League play, the Indians will finally step on the field for a three-inning simulated game Saturday in Goodyear, Arizona to wrap up Day 10 of spring training.

Aaron Civale and Logan Allen are expected to pitch two innings each, while Anthony Gose and Kyle Nelson are slated to go one inning apiece for manager Terry Francona and the Indians.

Cal Quantrill is expected to start Sunday’s exhibition opener at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday at Goodyear Ballpark against the Reds. The game is expected to go at least eight innings, with the Indians serving as the home team. Francona told reporters this week that if the Reds want to bat in the ninth inning, Cleveland plans to have enough pitchers lined up to cover the ninth.

On the mound: Adam Plutko is the only pitcher scheduled to throw a side session on Saturday.

On the mic: Media availability tentatively slated for Saturday includes Francona, Bobby Bradley, Tyler Freeman, Gabriel Arias and a co-interview with the Naylor brothers, Josh and Bo.

In the clouds: Temperatures in Goodyear on Saturday will reach a high of 72 degrees and a low of 39 with a ridiculous amount of sunshine in the forecast.

Important dates: The Indians start the spring-training season Feb. 28 against the Reds at Goodyear Ballpark.
