And yet, it was a Heat lineup that featured noteworthy talent. Among the starters that night beyond Long were Glen Rice, who would go on to be a three-time All-Star; Steve Smith, who would be named first-team All-Rookie that year; Rony Seikaly, who a year earlier was named NBA Most Improved Player; and Willie Burton, who later in his career would score 53 points against the Heat as a member of the 76ers.
