Because the rivalry still exists and is heated

These two teams haven’t seen each other in over three months, since an Oct. 16 game in Edmonton. A second meeting was supposed to happen Dec. 27, but that game was postponed. The Oilers have played the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins in the interim but nada against the Flames, their rivals three hours down the road. Is it possible we might actually see some mayhem? If you’re the Oilers, you might just want a team like the Flames on the playbill. Should be physical.
