Lions fullback Nick Bawden rocks a sweet hat in the locker room back in 2019.
ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions cut fullback Nick Bawden on Thursday, just hours after he was a no-show at Organized Team Activities.
Bawden was selected in the seventh round of the 2018 draft, but didn’t play in two of his first three seasons because of injuries he suffered in the offseason. He missed 38 games in all, while playing in just 10. He finished with four catches for 17 yards.
Jason Cabinda, a converted linebacker, is now the lone fullback on the roster. He played 130 offensive snaps last season, with most of his work coming as a blocker in the run game. He also had two catches for 8 yards.
