Wide receiver playing flag football: The Cowboys signed wide receiver Johnnie Dixon this summer to help with depth at the position. Dixon was waived last season by Arizona with an abdomen injury.
So what was Dixon doing as he waited for an NFL team to sign him?
“I was playing flag football every Tuesday down in Arizona,” Dixon told the Cowboys’ website. “I had to keep my cardio up.”
Dixon wasn’t participating on a team, he was just playing with guys at the park.
“Just me and a couple guys I work out with,” he said. “It was a good time. I didn’t really do too much. I was just the center and sometimes I’d go deep, but I was just chilling for the most part, really just trying to get cardio, honestly.”
