Who wouldn’t want to join the Winnipeg Jets for the playoffs?

At least that’s how Mark Scheifele sees it, four days away from the NHL trade deadline.

With the Jets, among the deeper teams in hockey up front, fighting for the top two spots in the all-Canadian division, Scheifele doesn’t see why any potential trade acquisition wouldn’t agree to come to Winnipeg next week.

“You come to the Winnipeg Jets and you get to play with some pretty fantastic players and you get to play some fun hockey, which is very valuable in a lot of guys’ eyes,” Scheifele said, Wednesday. “I know a lot of guys that love the way we play, that love watching the Winnipeg Jets play hockey. So who wouldn’t want to play some fun hockey for a good team?”

For players who have no-trade clauses, Winnipeg is usually one of the cities they don’t want to go to.

Paul Stastny waived his no-trade clause to accept a trade to the Jets at the deadline three years ago.
