Celtics set a dubious franchise record in embarrassing loss to Knicks

The NBA is a make-or-miss league, and the Boston Celtics did a whole lot of missing Sunday.

The New York Knicks obliterated the Celtics 105-75 at TD Garden, handing Boston one of its worst losses in recent memory.

How bad were the Celtics against Tom Thibodeau’s Knicks defense? For starters, their 75 points tied their lowest point total of the Brad Stevens era. They also missed 39 3-pointers (7 of 46), which set a new franchise record.

The Celtics missed 39 3’s today, easily a franchise record.

The 46 attempts were their 3rd most in regulation.
