With the veterans reporting to State Farm Stadium and the start of training camp Tuesday morning, the Cardinals added a pair of players to the roster the afternoon before.
The cornerback room adds veteran Daryl Worley , who spent last season with the Cowboys, Bills and Raiders. The one-time third-round pick of the Panthers in 2016 has five career interceptions in 55 career starts. He also spent time on the Eagles roster as well.
The Cards also added offensive lineman Marcus Henry , who has spent time with the Saints, Seahawks, Texans and Cowboys since coming into the league in 2016.
Each got one-year contracts.
The Cardinals had two open roster spots, after the release of offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard and with cornerback Lorenzo Burns on the Covid list.
Cornerback remains a question for the Cards after the free-agent departure of Patrick Peterson. Byron Murphy and Malcolm Butler are the expected top two, with veterans Robert Alford and Darqueze Dennard along with Worley and draft picks Marco Wilson and Tay Gowan among the candidates to fill out the depth chart.
The players report to camp Tuesday and undergo the conditioning test. The first light practice is Wednesday. The first open practice to fans on Friday. For all the information on Cardinals Camp, Powered By Cox, go to azcardinals.com/cardscamp.
