About the Panthers

The last time the Blues played here was Feb. 5, 2019, when they rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the third period for a 3-2 win. It was victory No. 3 in a franchise-record 11-game winning streak that propelled them to the playoffs and the Stanley Cup. After the game, the team played a dance hit from 1982 in the locker room — “Gloria,” sung by Laura Branigan. It would become the theme song for the season.

This season, the Panthers have been a juggernaut at 16-4-3. They are 13-1-0 at home, with the only loss at FLA Live to — surprise! — the Seattle Kraken by a 4-1 score on Nov. 27. Anthony Duclair and Aleksander Barkov lead a balanced attack with nine goals apiece. But Barkov (knee) is on injured reserve and Duclair (lower-body) is day-to-day. Two-time Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky has been strong in goal (10-1-2, 2.38 GAA, .923 save %).
