It’s Wednesday so the Buffalo Bills are now turning their attention to their next opponent. This week, it happens to be their first NFC foe of 2021.
After bouncing back vs. the Miami Dolphins in Week 2, the Bills (1-1) now host the Washington Football Team (1-1).
With that, here are seven storylines to follow during the lead up to game day:

The offseason hype surrounding Week 3 was the Bills possibly facing Ryan Fitzpatrick for the last time. The reality is he’s 38, and not everyone is Tom Brady. Here’s to hoping Buffalo can welcome their favorite former Bills QB with a homecoming one of these days.
Instead, thanks to a hip injury, it’ll be Taylor Heinicke under center. The Washington quarterback a bit of an unknown.
In his very recent and brief career actually playing, he’s come in and beat the New York Giants. That was just last week.
Then in last year’s playoffs, the Football Team gave the eventual Super Bowl champion Bucs a run for their money with Heinicke playing.
He’s certainly a bit of a feel-good story, but the Bills won’t be concerned about that much. Buffalo is going to look to keep the momentum going on defense.
