Andrew Copp scored four goals to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night to sweep the two-game series.
It was Copp’s first career NHL hat trick and first four-goal game in his lifetime — if memory serves him correctly.
“I’m gonna have a hard time remembering my last four-goal game,” Copp said. “I don’t know if that’s ever happened before, so pretty cool experience..
The Jets continued their dominance of the Canucks, winning a share of the top spot in the NHL North Division.
Winnipeg has now won eight straight road games over Vancouver, surpassing them 15-4 and going 4-0-0 in Vancouver earlier in the season.
Also scoring for the Jets was Mark Scheifele, while Nils Hoglander scored the game’s only goal for Vancouver.
The Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck made 38 saves and was 1: 25 away on a second shutout before giving up a goal with the game already out of reach.
